The role The Social Work Specialist is a key member of the Family Care First Cambodia (FCF)|REACT team. The post holder will provide technical support, with a primary focus on social work, for Save the Children team, consortium partners and other key stakeholders in the FCF|REACT initiative in Cambodia. The post holder will also build technical capacity for the implementation of FCF|REACT projects to ensure achievement of planned outcomes, and support in developing initiatives, proposals, interventions, documentation and research related to family care and alternative care programmes in Cambodia. The purpose of this position is to contribute to strengthening the quality of social work and other protection programs and projects implemented by Save the Children and its partners, and ensure consistent practices and systems for all children to be in safe, nurturing family based care. The post holder will also contribute to reinforcing national child protection policies and frameworks. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
