Phnom Penh: On September 27, 2023, Family Care First Project conducted a Validation Workshop for the Meta-review research/studies of Family-Based Care in Cambodia with the participation of representatives of Siem Reap and Battambang Provincial Department of Child Protection of MoSVY, and FCF network members including, BCN, HAGAR, M’lup Russey, OiC, Damnok Toek, TLC, Holt, CCT, UNICEF and the USAID representatives.
The objectives of the Meta-Review are to assess the relevance and use of the presented recommendations for the organization and for the society as a whole and assess what kind of studies on the issue of prevention of children being separated from their families and reintegration of children from RCI into family-based care.
The purpose of the workshop was to present the preliminary findings with Q&A session and discuss selected findings and/or conclusions to reach consensus among the network members.
